When a new product drops it’s exciting – I see makeup all day but I still love the anticipation and buzz surrounding new launches from my favourite brands. What doesn’t come along every day however is a totally new brand that seems to get it right in every way, so when I saw these new products from Bagsy I was incredibly excited. By nature humans are curious and we always want to try something new, but when it comes to makeup I feel like too often we play it safe, follow the herd and stick with the same old brands. If you’re looking to shake it up you’d be hard pressed to find a better brand than Bagsy – currently exclusive to Feel Unique, this new British brand have impressed me so much already…

Firstly, let’s talk about the packaging since that’s the first thing that hits you – I try to look beyond the packaging wherever possible (after all it’s what’s inside that matters and you can often pay a fortune for something with a bad formula just because a certain name is slapped all over the front) but at the same time I love good branding and products that have clearly been considered before manufacture and not just rushed out for the sake of it.

Although the outer packaging all contain different prints, they are still really cohesive and they feel fresh, current and modern without being gimmicky. The product range itself is the same and hits somewhere between classic and innovative, with pretty, wearable colours that will appeal to everyone in unique packaging to make it a bit more fun. As well as colour products like a beautiful bronzer, soft matte lip colours, eyeshadow sticks and blush there are some handbag essentials like a dry shampoo, kabuki brush, hand cream and a cute flamingo cosmetic bag.

Not only are all the products wearable and well thought out, but they are cruelty free to boot. This is something that has become increasingly important to me recently and I’m working on a cruelty free Hello Gemma as we move towards the future so I was pleased to see Bagsy adopting ethical procedures. I’ve been giving the hand cream and dry shampoo a whirl and both are lovely and smell delicious, I’m still testing the makeup out and I’m sure you will be seeing it on my channel and Instagram so keep your eyes peeled.
